The Hampton Inn in downtown Denver is in a great location - close enough to the 16th Street mall, but not so close that you have to deal with
noise
or congestion.

Couldn't hear the traffic (we were on the 6th floor), or
noise
from other rooms (and hopefully they couldn't hear our son yell).

The location was fantastic, I did not want to stay any closer to 16th Street Mall due to the crowds and
noise
and I enjoyed every morning walk to the convention centre (I was 6 months pregnant at the time, the walk was not strenuous at all).

We also found the hotel to be generally quiet as we were on the second floor facing a street and could not really hear too much
noise
.

It's walking distance to downtown Denver's shopping district (16th Street Mall) and bars/restaurants, but off the beaten path so that you can find parking and not deal with street
noise
or loud pedestrians.
