1. The only really negative downsides to the hotel are the lack of a swimming pool and that one must pay to have access to the gym which is not actually on the premises but across the street.

The food in the restaurant is really good, though expensive, however our service was not up to par at the restaurant this past trip - that differed greatly from other visits (two times that I can think of) It is an older hotel, but so well maintained that the pluses far outweigh the negatives: room size is great and not the usual layout.
