The manager was combative and rude initially (in fact, she also told me that since I had booked online, even though it was at the Country Inn and Suites website, sometimes you had to deal with booking inaccuracies -- which is an unacceptable response and nothing more than a meaningless excuse), but when I explained the circumstances she finally agreed to refund 50% of our booking cost, and also offered to have housekeeping change the bed linens in order to improve the smell of the room.
