The Golden Nugget is nicer - and more
expensive
(but nowhere near as nice as strip hotels for the money) but I would rank Fitzgeralds as second best downtown.

$7 for 24 hrs on the Duece, a double decker bus, this saves a whole lot of walking and

The food was ok, and it was probably one of the less

Unless you're not looking for the downtown experience and want
expensive
glitz and expect more for less then go ahead and stay at the Fitz; you won't hate it.

It is so much more fun and less
expensive
then the strip that I hate to tell other people about it for fear it will get too crowded.

It's quieter, less crowded, and less
expensive
than the main strip, which we visited a few times this trip.
