6. As an Kimpton In-Touch loyalty member, I received some bonus amenities- a bottle of vitamin water and a can of some dried cranberries, banana chips, and nut mixture, even a personalized letter from the desk manager welcoming me, a very nice touch.

8. Were the floral curtains and (greasy) headboard borrowed from Gerry`s mum`s house? Gloomy lighting, chipped paint, knackered furniture, worn carpets - it had it all.

9. The hotel was very trendy in the public areas, but our room was tiny, filthy, extremely noisy (street noise below was deafening), and in absolutely terrible shape (paint peeling in main room and bathroom, chips and dents on walls and trim, torn upholstery, dented furniture).
