1. About the only drawback was the bar next door being a little loud, and the desk had mentioned it might be.

2. The windows do overlook the street and if you are a light sleeper, the street noise (cars, busses, people walking home from bars) is pretty loud.

4. I would recommend an interior room since Lombard is so busy and loud at all hours before 3 am' The location is central to the Marina district, Union Street, Van Ness and access to the highways.

5. OK, the Inn's elevator is slow, but who cares when you're on vacation right? The bar on Filmore can be loud some nights and there is the traffic noise from Lombard Street, but those things are out of the Inn's control.

6. My only con about the hotel, which was pretty minor, was that the neighborhood was a little loud at night and the noise can filter into the rooms, although the hotel itself was extremely quiet and I didn't have much trouble getting to sleep.

9. The reception staff were very helpful, the free parking is a great bonus but, as other reviewers have said, the traffic noise is very loud and persists throughout the night.
