If you get a room on the 3rd floor new the soda machine you can solve the noise
problem
by reaching back and unplugging it.

There's no dining options at the hotel, which isn't a
problem
as there are literally hundreds of places to eat in the Fisherman's Wharf area.

It only had 1 bathroom, but that was not a
problem
with 12 and 8 year olds plus grandpa that get baths at night.

We had a view of Coit Tower, the Transamerica building and the Cathedral and Bimbo's (next door) was not a noise
problem
at all (although I am sure no one was playing when we were there).

I experienced both sides of the hotel and didn't have a
problem
sleeping but my wife did wake up the first night to what she described as the sound of a motorcycle with a busted tail pipe.

After reading other reviews on tripadvisor I saw that others encountered the same
problem
but called the hotel directly and were able to get a room.
