1. The first time the room was quite nice and fairly modern, while the room during the latter stay was a bit more dated.

4. Tip: I understand part of the hotel has been refurbished, (the section I stayed in was) while other rooms to date have not, sounds like it's in the plans for the near future though.

5. 5-star hotel: the carpets on the stairs leading to the second floor are dingy and worn, the lobby is tiny, the furniture in my room looked dated, the hotel exterior looked dated, the coffeemaker in my room had some rust on the heating element.

6. Although the smoking rooms were a big plus for us, the room and the hotel overall are very dated and in need of renovation.
