1. The only down side is the expense of overnight parking which most downtown hotels have anyway.

3. parking is expensive, right next door is an open parking for a free less then hotel; however based on the non-attractiveness of the surronding area I would park with the hotel, just to be safe, even if its going to be just a few more extra $$.
