The strip is not the only thing around, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire and Red
rock
Canyon are easier to get to from this location than from the congested strip area if you do have a car and want to get out of town.

We intended to go to Red
rock
Canyon, Death Valley, Valley of Fire, etc, not the strip for the most part, so this was easy access to the freeways.
