2. In theory that's fine, if the hotel is overbooked, but it makes it difficult to sleep, with the children's noises and movements and wakings and general shuffle of people in rooms right next to you.

8. My second stay, however, was unpleasant as I noticed the noise in the hallways quite a bit more and there was a barking dog in the room across the hall - it barked throughout the night and woke me up, even after I told the staff about it.

10. Excellent choice, walls between rooms should be insulated to cut noise.
