Upon returning home, I received a letter of apology from the owner stating that insects are normal in a tropical climate (however, he conveniently did not mention the globs of hair under the sheets -which have NOTHING to do with the climate, nor did he mention the rude and unhelpful staff)- I'm sorry but it is NOT OK for a hotel to have termites and cockroaches in the rooms, no matter what the climate.

2. This was the younger woman (I guess this is family run?), and though she was very rude and unhelpful, the older women and housekeeping staff were much friendlier.
