2. While some have complained that this amplified any noise (such as rolling luggage & people chatting up in the hallway), I didn't find this to really be a problem because things were quiet during the core sleeping hours.

8. Although some on this site have complained about Hilo, check out Richardson Beach and Champagne Pond for great snorkeling (both mentioned in the terrific book 'Hawaii: The Big Island Revealed').
