1. Even with a white noise machine, we could hear street noise.

2. The only issue we had was that you can hear a lot of noise from the street, and from other rooms when guests are getting ready & leaving in the morning.

7. The front desk staff mentioned that people did not like the busy side due to the noise, but I didn't find it to be loud at all, but I live in downtown Chicago.
