2. But the noise was dreadful, not from people, but from the emergency services going down an empty road at 2am with drums beating, banners flying and bayonets fixed.

4. It's right across from Walter Reed hospital so there always seemed to be some ambulance/fire engine noise going on.

5. Georgia Ave is very busy so if you can get a room on the inward side of the street away from the traffic and siren noise.
