1. The bar is nice and usually not too crowded - although I wish they offered more food choices - especially on a cold, snowy January night.

The staff at the front desk and in the bar and lobby were super friendly and helpful - from Ken who kindly humored our desire for another room (we ended up going back to our initial room) to Stefani, who like the others, gave us a number of helpful DC tips as well as really taking care of us and our friends when we had a small get-together in the hotel bar.

7. For those that don't know the area, Dupont Circle is an ideal place to stay - there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby (although the room service was GREAT), very convenient metro access, and quick access to several grassy areas, for those with dogs.

10. Every day from 5 to 6 p.m. the hotel offers free wine (red or white) and they kindly welcome guest to enjoy their wine at the bar.
