The rooms were simply `dirty`: old snack wrappers by the base of the beds, strong cleanser odors that overwhelmed upon room entry, regardless of leaving the windows open, and the breakfast food (an Oxford staple) was `cattle-like` in service/quality (from pushy customers to overworked and tired employees).
