1. We have stayed many, many other places from San Ysidro Ranch to the Harbor View Inn and you just can't beat the combination of location and value.

2. If you an afford the ocean front locations of the Harbor View Inn and the Santa Barbara Inn and like the boutique hotels, go for it there too.

3. You can enjoy the cute patio, sit on the swing, or lounge in the chairs with a view of the mountains.

4. Take your bike to the court house (and go up the tower there to see the view) and then I would highly recommend an italian restaurant called Aldo (on the main street of SB, near the court house).
