5. After spending long days walking through the Wild Animal Park (only 20 minutes away), the Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, Balboa Park museums and Mission Bay beach (in the pouring rain, with hot clam chowder at Anthony's afterward), we looked forward to a movie ( the tv has a nice rotating feature to watch either from bed or the armchairs) and a restful night's sleep in our room.
