3. Now if you're used to luxury this isn't the place for you, but it is very clean and close by everything (airport, beach, zoo, cruises are all within a 10 minute drive).

I can abolutely recommend the following:- San Diego Zoo (full day)- Whale Watching (half day)- Coronado Island (half a day)- Point Loma (half a day)- Restaurant: Point Loma Seefoods (just across the street, voted best restaurant in San Diego)- Drinks: Yardhouse (300 different draft beers to choose from)In the summer I`d imagine the beach area north of the city (Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla) will be great too.

5. Staff were really friendly & helpful, in fact one day we were at the bus stop and the owner came out and insisted driving us to the beach and he stopped to show us a few places of interest on the way.

8. The bike lane on Nimitz Blvd made it easy to get to Ocean, Mission, and Pacific Beaches, as well as the bike trail around Mission Bay.

9. We asked Lin, who has cleaned rooms here at the Dolphin for over 30 years if she could give us a few towels to take to the beach.
