1. You need to drive far to reach zoo, beach, etc. If you want a cheap, clean motel, look no further.
"If this is one of best..the rest are? " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/5/2010 Vote
2. The hotel was near the zoo/Balboa Park and was a reasonable distance from Sea World and the beach.
"We would stay here again " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/14/2009 Vote
3. We even hung out at the pool on our last day, the towels at the pool are a little small and thin, so i would recommend bringing your own beach towels.
"Simple Basic Hotel ~ Good Value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/5/2008 Vote
4. The hotel is NOT located in the immediate vicinity of major San Diego attractions like the beaches, the zoo, Balboa Park, the 'old' San Diego, Legoland and SeaWorld but it`s right off the interstate and with a GPS, a no-brainer to get around.
"Very decent accommodation. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/7/2008 Vote
5. The Good- Clean rooms- Helpful/friendly staff- CheapThe Bad- Beds are quite uncomfortable- rooms are small- no amenities - very far from beach/good dining- in college district (not very nice area)If you are looking for a very no frills place to stay this is it.
"Very overrated on Trip advisor " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/20/2008 Vote
6. If you`re looking to be impressed with your room at a higher rate, I recommend the brand new Residence Inn Oceanside, CA where I also stayed during this trip (convenient to Legoland, beaches, pier).
"Convenient Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/2/2007 Vote
7. There is a small but clean pool which is set up with beach chairs with towels on them for your convenience.
"Perfect for our needs! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/18/2011 Vote
8. The location is not central, downtown, beaches and Seaworld are quite far, so I can (warmly) recomend it only to people travelling by car.
"Perfect stay in San Diego " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/24/2010 Vote
9. I was initially skeptical because it's not in the heart of San Diego or on the beach, but it's a quick 10 minute drive (it's just east of Hotel Circle) to the zoo, so honestly, why bother paying so much more.
"Reviews are right--nice staff, clean hotel, fun pool, great deal all around. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/20/2009 Vote
10. Every morning--and sometimes the evenings too--I walked into the office and asked for restaurant recommendations, beach preferences and driving directions, among many other other things.
"Just like home. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/15/2008 Vote
