1. Although it is within easy walking distance to the Riverwalk, conference center, etc, it seems to be on the edge of where the nice downtown area ends, and the seedy neighborhood begins.

3. On a possitive note, all of downtown was within walking distance so you didn't have to drive everywhere you went.

6. Right nest to 'the Alamo' downtown San Antonio, great location, easy access from Amtrak, deff stay there again, was a basic hotel, free upgrade to larger room as acon was noisey in first room, good service budget hotel.

8. All in all, if you want to stay in downtown San Antonio, near the key tourist sights and don't want to pay a fortune or need the opulence of the Riverwalk-side hotels, then the Days Inn on Houston St (make sure you book the right one!) is a prime choice for the money.

9. You are less than a 5 minute walk to the Rivercenter Mall/Riverwalk, and a few more minutes to other key sights downtown, like the Tower of the Americas, Alamo, Market Square, etc. There is a Denny's right down the street, and numerous restaurants along the Riverwalk, also.
