The shower flooded the bathroom, it took 20 minutes to get extra towels to fix it, they called me during the day when I told them not to (I work nights), the exercise room had 4 machines and only 1 worked, the pool was out of season, the smoke alarm dangled, they left the side security doors propped open, they accused me of smoking in my room before doing a carpet test, told me they were going to charge me the full cleaning fee for lighting an incense, security cameras didn't capture entrances, I lost a key card and they didnt reprogram my lock, and the manager screamed at me that I was a liar when I tried to tell him.

Kai Sheng, General Manager should be very proud of what he has accomplished at Howard Johnson inn, Salem, OR, the place was one of the best organized inns I have stayed at, the breakfast was great , the room was great and impeccability cleaned each and every day I was there, Kai also secured my boarding passes from Southwest for my flight home, there wasn't a time nor did it matter what time is was, Kai was always there to help anyone and everyone who needed his help, many thanks Kai and I will not hesitate to book Howard Johnson Inn, Salem, OR when and I return to Salem ,ORthanks KaiBob Molter.
