5. The little shops/shacks a block away served a panoply of cheap, road side cuisine from different parts of the old - Chinese, Thai, Mexican etc. Great lunch for 6 bucks.

6. Great restaurants all over Portland (don`t miss Mother`s Bistro for lunch or breakfast or Pearl Bakery for great bread and pastry) and we highly recommend the Westin as your `home-base`.
