It`s walkable to lots of cool stuff on 23rd
street
and that`s one of the big advantages.

What the best part was though was the
street
it was next to - 23rd
street
- it's the alphabet
street
- Hotel is on Vaughn (V) and you can walk up the
street
to the letter A and every block is full of shops, restaurants, bars - wish we had more time to explore.

Initially you get the feeling that you will be staying on a hotel right next to the highway with only a Jack in the Box across the
street
BUT if you start walking (suggested by the folks at the lobby because otherwise you wouldnt really think about it) there is a really charming area with lots of neat looking stores and good restaurants only 2 blocks away.

It is within walking distance to a child-friendly park and playground (15 minute), a
street
car for easy access to downtown ( 20 minute walk), and a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and shops along 23rd
street
.

Then I ask how to get downtown, which at a quick glance at the map is just down 23rd
street
and left at burnside.

To get to downtown---if you don't walk, as we did---there are several buses that stop across the
street
or a block away.

This
street
somehow leads to an industrial area, so trucks drive through the
street
whole day AND NIGHT.
