2. It`s walkable to lots of cool stuff on 23rd street and that`s one of the big advantages.

3. What the best part was though was the street it was next to - 23rd street - it's the alphabet street - Hotel is on Vaughn (V) and you can walk up the street to the letter A and every block is full of shops, restaurants, bars - wish we had more time to explore.

Initially you get the feeling that you will be staying on a hotel right next to the highway with only a Jack in the Box across the street BUT if you start walking (suggested by the folks at the lobby because otherwise you wouldnt really think about it) there is a really charming area with lots of neat looking stores and good restaurants only 2 blocks away.

5. It is within walking distance to a child-friendly park and playground (15 minute), a streetcar for easy access to downtown ( 20 minute walk), and a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and shops along 23rd street.

6. Then I ask how to get downtown, which at a quick glance at the map is just down 23rd street and left at burnside.

9. This street somehow leads to an industrial area, so trucks drive through the street whole day AND NIGHT.
