1. After a fun, long day playing downtown we came back to the hotel and enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub that stay open until 11pm.

5. Like others have written, this is not downtown Portland but the proximity to the MAX system (one short block) makes it an ideal location if you are looking for nice, clean, reasonably-priced accomodations (compared to downtown Portland).

Our plan had been to leave the car at the hotel and use the light rail system to get downtown (there's a station beside the hotel), but we abandoned that idea and fled in the morning to the Econolodge Convention Centre, which, despite being much closer to the city centre and right next to roadworks, was totally quiet.
