3. The restaurant is excellent and there is a huge collection of very good wines, some at very reasonable prices - we ate there every night, but there are plenty of other restaurants in the locality to choose from.

4. For genuine historic 'ambience', we prefer the nearby (and price-comparable) Thomas Bond House - a smaller, more intimate hotel with a nicer reception area and common room where you can relax, read a newspaper or a book from their library.

7. I asked the rate for a room for two, and was told 140 dollars and when I hesitated, the manager Antonio said that Adrian (I think) had given me the correct price but that he could offer a promotional price of 119.

10. For $149 a night, we thought the price of the accommodations was very reasonable, particularly since it included a large continental breakfast (consisting of fresh fruit, cereals, toast, pastries, bagels, boiled eggs, Belgian waffles, coffee, hot tea, and fresh orange juice.
