We have stayed in a disney hotel and also outwith disney and i would say the pro's are quicker access to disney parks, earlier/later access to parks cos your a disney resident and special touches that you just don't get in other hotels and would prob not notice until you have stayed in disney (staff are so friendly, outstanding cleanliness etc, the disney theme does not stop its on the bus, in the shop in the toilets-its so nice)Cons are that it is quite difficult to get out of disney, ie bus links are rare.
