8. Next door told us the next day as we were checking out that there was a $25 parking fee added to the 'coupon' rate so we got ripped off twice from this establishment.

A couple of surprises though:(1) we didn't know about the $20 a day parking fee (2) the ride from the airport took us through what appeared to be a shady neighborhood and (3) the shutters on our entry door closed, providing us the privacy we weren't sure we would have when we first checked in (our room had a glass door with sheer curtains).

10. The hotel's especially warm staff person, Velda, called me after their grounds person found that I left my laptop and carry-on bag in the hotel parking lot.
