It's a really nice residential area (many nice cars- lexus/porsche- were parked on the street) but just a block over from a bunch of great
restaurant
s and music venues on decater and frenchman's streets.

It's in a quiet part of the French Quarter away from the crowds but a short walk from the prettiest squares,
restaurant
s and music venues.

In fact our room had NO hotel info in it like most which would be so helpful, just a sheet or something w/checkin/out info, info about the breakfast or the gym,
restaurant
recs.

The breakfast was a ripoff, and don't take their
restaurant
recommendations - they send you far away to a mediocre place run by the owners' children (found that out after the fact).

That said, two potentially valid complaints: the only TV was in the living room and it was very small and the kitchen (no
restaurant
on site) is a bit limited- breakfast is just coffee (chicory of course) and fresh biscuits.

It is in a quiet residential area of the French Quarter - peaceful for sleeping but only a 5 minute walk to antique shops,
restaurant
s, etc. We were told that the home across Chartres on the corner belongs to Angelina and Brad.

This end of Chartres is very quiet, but it`s a long walk to shops,
restaurant
s, Acme Oyster House, Cafe du Monde, or any of the places you`d like to drop into first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
