2. I will start by saying my wife and usually stay in nice hotels, the Hilton, the Intercontinental, etc. This place looks nice in the lobby and has a good bar.

6. He then informed me that they did not have either and that if I wanted I could walk to the adjacent hotel and visit their bar or I could walk to a restaraunt that 'just 7 or 8 blocks away'.

8. There is a restaurant and a bar, but they are seldom (or maybe never) open; they are used, I think, for private parties.
