Within 1 mile of LAX and only 5 miles from Hawthorne (if you're a private pilot), this is a very convenient location to get to areas like Santa Monica, OC or
downtown
(crossroads of 405, 105, 10).

It is near airport and it is not the prettiest
downtown
, but there is a place to eat around the hotel.

The money I save staying at this hotel rather than the
downtown
conference hotels allows me to rent a car and explore LA on off hours.

I've already complained to Hotwire that they need to reevaluate their criteria for assessing star ratings, as I complained that they advertised The Westin Bonaventure
downtown
LA as a 4 star that clearly wasn't and that they need to reevaluate some of their contracted hotels.
"Not a 3 star, maybe this is more about Hotwire than the actual Hotels "
