1. So if you are going to the beach often, use coolers or lunch bags to bring food/snacks/drinks/plenty of water.

2. For lunch we brought deli meats, sandwich stuff, breads, and chips etc. There is a little freezer part in the mini-fridge which was a good place for cold packs.

4. All in with lunch it took us about 5.5 hours each way - but we also had a few quick stops along the way to enjoy the views from the many state parks that are open to the public and to look at some waterfront homes to see if we wanted to put something like that on our wish list.
