1. Hotel is clean, somewhat small rooms, but at less than $200 a night at peak of spring break, a nice deal.

They even hold your baggage when you check out so you can go around the island for a bit before you leave- Concierge was very helpful and friendly and helped us with our package deal (we got a Sunset Champagne Cruise and 2-hour guided Kayak) and even helped us book for a Dolphin Sightseeing/Snorkel adventure (highly worth it!we had a blast.

3. The cheaper rooms are a good deal if you don`t plan on eating at the hotel and you plan on spending most of your time in town drinking and visiting the shops.

4. If you've got the B&B; deal, on check-in ensure you get the card that excludes you from paying a breakfast bill in the morning.

5. If you have kids, which I am not sure why you would bring kids to Key West (saw a few people with kids and they were hating life) or if you just don`t want to deal with people, then the Doubetree is for you.

7. Not very big, but well kept and excellent in every other way--Front desk personnel and concierge staff were friendly and very helpful--Front desk has reasonable deals with local day trip folks for snorkelling, biking, other activities that are a lot of fun.
