Imagine a hotel with no vending (except the little overly priced store next to the front desk), no in-room coffee, no continental breakfast, and an airport shuttle that does not start running until 6 am (even though there were at least five of us needing to get to the airport for early flights out!).

' etc. This is a huge pet peeve for me--most hotels have completely halted the practice of saying room/floor numbers out loud to protect the privacy and safety of their guests and instruct their front desk personnel to write down the room number and point it out to guests and ask if they need further assistance.
