3. The room was dark and poorly lit, the view from the window was of an opposing brick wall/balcony, the bathroom was a disaster, with sharp broken ceramic tiles on the floor next to the tub, and a stained shower curtain.

5. 2) The lack of drapes (just blinds on the sliding balcony door and bedroom window) lead to a big surprise when I went to bed the first night; an annoying level of light leaking into the room (from the fixtures that illuminate the sidewalks between buildings).
