1. There was free cable TV with too many channels to name, free wi-fi, access to in-room dining service and a pool.

2. I still can't figure out why smaller hotels like this can offer all of these free services for half the price of the larger hotels, and why the larger hotels that charge twice as much or more nickle and dime for these comforts (if you can even get them).
