2. This hotel was close to the strip (less than a $10 cab ride and possibly within walking distance if you don't mind crossing a busy intersection) and across the street from the extremely affordable and delicious In-N-Out Burger.

3. Added bonuses: even though the hotel is near the airport (the older 'Fabulous Vegas' sign is close by), my room--facing a rather isolated street--was relatively quiet from street noise.

5. We ventured out to the Hoover Dam, Ethel M Chocolates (rip off), bowling at South Point, NY NY, Fremont Street, etc. and this was a great jumping off point.

10. I just booked the Staybridge down the street for my remaining two days and will check out in the morning - I stay in Vegas quite a bit and this Hampton is close to my work - it may do in a pinch, but this stay definitely put it a few choices back on my list.
