4. A restaurant has its menu in the room, and delivers if you order before 10 p.m. I liked the pizza, but the rest of my family thought it was the greasiest they'd ever tasted.

6. Check in was friendly and helpful - there is no restaurant at this hotel but they are happy to not only direct you to local eateries but also offered the free use of the hotel shuttle when we asked for a taxi.

7. The shuttle took us to the restaurant and also came and picked us up when we phoned to say we were ready - this was an unexpected and most welcome service offered by the hotel.
