4. If you're an experienced skier you'll get bored with Buttermilk quite quickly, and the distance to the bigger areas, particularly Snowmass, is a bit frustrating - although there are regular ski shuttles, and the hotel itself also offers a free shuttle service.

5. For the quite reasonable price we paid we were impressed with the (included -- not the case at much higher priced hotels) airport pick up and drop off and van service to downtown Aspen and the short walk to Buttermilk childrens ski school, rental facilities, ticket windows etc. We visited in April and the advertised included breakfast was no longer due to low(er) season.

6. Front staff is comprised of young seasonal workers (most of them skiers/snowboarders) who (a) have no idea about customer service ('What`s up, dude.
