1. TV was a newer variety (sometimes a rarity at these places) and even though it was on a major street the windows are on the inside so you don't hear much street noise at all.

2. Nearby are two nice and inexpensive restaurants; a Korean place for breakfast on 9th towards the main street, and at the corner of that main street (forget what it is named) is an excellent vegetarian place -- and that's coming from a dedicated meat eater.

3. The hotel is centrally located (20 mins walk from Moscone Center, a short cab ride from the Yahoo Brickhouse, close enough to walk -- about 35 mins -- to the Tourist office and nearby tram station, and is about 5 mins away from a busy street with a lot of public transit and a few good shops.

8. The hotel is located in a scary enviroment, there are a lot of homeless people hanging around and sleeping on the streets next to the hotel.
