1. Just across from GG Park and an easy walk to the Haight, so there's plenty to see and in the neighborhood.

2. Definitely plenty of street people, so this neighborhood may not be for the squeamish, but the Haight has great shops (esp clothes and shoes) intermingled with more colorful venues.

3. the worst part of this hotel is that they do not offer last minute specials and you cannot bid for this neighborhood on places like hotwire or priceline.

8. Proximity to Golden Gate Park is a huge plus, however, that also means walking around the homeless sleeping in and around the neighborhood if you are walking after dark.
