1. We rented a car for two days to tour out of the city and had parking in the garage right under the hotel for a reasonable per night charge of $20.

The hotel rates were competitive to other standard rooms in the motels/hotels in the area, but the rooms were suites (much better value) and the parking was half the price of the other hotels (be sure if you're looking for a hotel in Fisherman's Wharf to ask about the parking price - some hotels charge an additional $50 per night over and above the room rate - the parking here was $20 per night, and was secured & covered - in the basement of the building).
