1. Spend little bit more money and get a hotel in manhattan, saving money on subway or cab; it usually costs around $13 (taking it into account that tip is not included, it'll be around $15) for each trip to Manhattan from this inn.

2. By no means is this a 4 star accomodation, but it was a significant step above "adequate" and yet very cost effective - this is exactly what we were looking for.
