1. And the location is a pleasant 3 blocks away from the Reading Terminal Market, which is a terrific place to graze on a variety of foods and snacks, including cheesesteaks, cajun, Italian, BBQ, deli, etc. If one is up to it and the weather is nice, one can also walk within 20-30 minutes to the historic area to see Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, etc.My room had a partial view of what I believe is City Hall across the street, a building with very nice architecture.

2. Le Meridien is an easy walk from Love park (across the street!), City Hall, Logan Square, The Franklin Institute, Chinatown, and Independence Mall.

3. The $38 parking charged would have eaten any savings made by pre-booking so I asked one of the bell-hops for an alternative - he guided me to a flat-rate $5 for 24-hours lot two blocks away on 16th street, nice one.
