3. The front desk offered us breakfast vouchers which was fine but when I told her that the recent smoking in a non smoking room was unacceptable and that i would like a room credit the desk manager offered to leave a note with the manager and that was all she could do for us.

4. Lastly, I forgot a pair of expensive slippers in the room when we checked out, I called when I got back to Vancouver and had to leave a message for the housekeeping manager.

7. I was informed we would NOT be charged for our stay (we were only there a few hours) - after arguing with the desk clerk, the manager overheard us and said 'we will not charge you' It has been a week and it appears I will need to call and get the credit card charge reversed (we WERE charged!).
