Cons: That said, the place is a bit shabby and run down, a far cry from the much newer and posher Red Lion in
downtown
Seattle.

It's across the street from the airport, is close to I-5 and is on a major regional highway, as well as within walking distance to the new monorail to the
downtown
core.
"We're never suprised...always excellent. "

It was easy to get to
downtown
on the light rail for not much $$ and we saw a Mariner's game yesterday using the rail and went back in today to see Harry Potter at the fabulous Cinerama
downtown
(a _great_ movie palace).

****Don't mistake this hotel with
downtown
Red Lion - there is no shuttle from seatac to that hotel as one couple found out when they arrived ***The reception was very swift and when I asked about a cab to the nearby shopping mall at Southcentre I was advised of the free shuttle service that is available.
"Good value and very close to Seatac. "

You can take th
downtown
Seattle bus just across the street from the hotel, then ride free
downtown
between places like the space Needle, Market, China Town, etc. Although we had a rental car, this was far more convenient.

I would certainly stay at that hotel if I come back despite being a bit far from

The Light Train going
downtown
is about 700 yards away and that makes it really easy to get around.
