5. This is a great place for those who are looking for a quaint, hospitable place to stay and for those who plan on adventuring/sight-seeing during the day NOT for those who wish to have the canned beach resort experience.

7. The hotel is conveniently close to great places to eat as well and located close to Kalapaki beach if you want to catch the sunset every day of the week that you're there.

8. However, the next day we soon discovered that the complete island from the waimea canyon on the westside to the north shore beaches can easily be reached within say one hour from this hotels location.

9. We appreciated the location the longer we stayed, good food places are all within walking, supermarkets are a five min drive as is the local underrated beach at Kalapaki.
