1. It's a great place to learn to surf, and all of the beachside amenities and rentals are very accessable.

2. If you want an elevator to a penthouse suite, obsequious bellboys in starchy uniforms, stuffy formality, or extra charges for every amenity, you'd be better off going to a large chain hotel.

The grounds are clean, well kept and have great amenities, including a great beach, a beach expedia counter to rent gear (although our condo had a closet-full of beach accessories), huge lawns and palm trees, a pool by the tennis courts, gas barbeques, and friendly staff that made the entire trip perfect.
