1. Much better than the shuttle that, in my opinion was overpriced and took almost 2.5 hours to get us to the hotel after the many many stops we had to make with the 7 other passengers with a driver that spoke very little english making me uneasy that we would ever get there.

The Rockafellar centre was a 10-15 mins walk and the Empire State Building 25-30 mins walk, the subway links to the main stations and there is a great shuttle train from Grand Central Station to Times Square and it is a 5 min walk to the hotel, or you can get on a train to the subway to the hotel.

4. On our final day we left our suitcases with another 'bellman' and went and said our final farewells to New York, waiting for our bus shuttle to arrive, which it did on time (early in fact), which was arranged via the hotel so brownie points the them for that.

5. However the bell Captain, Robert, was extremely helpful when we lost our shuttle tickets, the location could not have been better and the hotel was excellent value for money.

7. So in reponse to his arrogance and I tipped out all the loose change I had left (not one single note and a lot of cents) and piled into into his hand, he wasn't impressed but i smiled and shut the door of the shuttle bus and we drove away and I could hear him shouting as we left.

8. On our journey home we booked a shuttle bus through the hotel when it did not arrive the doorman was very helped, he rang the company to complain and then booked us a limo which the hotel paid the extra dollars to get us to the airport.
